"Such a wonderful medical resource"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

I had an accident in the garden with electric cutters which damaged my finger. Through NHS24 I was sent to the Minor Injuries Unit at A&E at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. When I arrived I registered at the main unit which was very busy and then from there I was sent to the injuries unit. The minor injuries unit was bright, less people waiting and less tension, the staff could not have done more - they were exceptional in their attention, reassurance and speed at which they seen me. It is such a wonderful medical resource to provide prompt essential medical attention to patients which I hope will always be there.

Dear Katielou,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story about your experience at the Minor Injuries Unit at the QUEH. It is so useful for staff to hear feedback on patient experiences. I am glad to hear that you felt reassured and well looked after by staff during your visit. I am also very glad to hear that you were seen quickly in the right setting and didn't long to wait for treatment.

I hope you have a speedy recovery,

Rhiann
