Whilst during the COVID19 Pandemic I understood the difficulty in accessing medical services and the need to protect GPs. With the winding back of restrictions and the return to normal life the measures still in place are completely unacceptable, and are making accessing care impossible.
Having called my GP surgery today to make an appointment I was advised I would need to call at 8:30 in the morning for an appointment that day. Well that is if I can get through whilst there are still appointments and of course if I'm available just sat at home waiting for them.
As someone who works full time this leaves me completely unable to access medical care, #unacceptable!
Dear employer - sorry at some time to be advised at the drop of a hat and the whim of the medical group I may need to nip out at some undetermined time in the to go out for a medical appointment. That's OK isn't it? Of course its not, it's very poor at best.
