"Painful womb biopsy"

About: Lincoln County Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was told to take 2 paracetamol before it’s procedure . I had this done twice before and is very uncomfortable .

This time it was excruciatingly painful.  The consultant took 2 biopsies this time. I would refuse to have this done again unless I was sedated as afterwards I felt sick and very sore . There must be a better way to deliver this procedure for women .

Dear Shazzie

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I am so sorry to hear you were feeling sore and uncomfortable following this procedure. I will inform all staff of your experience so we learn from this and look to see if there is anything we can do differently in future.

Kind Regards

Tanya Wilson
