"They still had time to give that extra individual care"

About: Borders General Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics (Ward 9)

(as a service user),

I came home from Ward 9 in the Borders General Hospital following a total hip replacement two days earlier. My care from the appointments office, admission through ward 8, operation itself and care from the multidisciplinary team on ward 9 was second to none. Ward 9 was EXTREMELY busy but they still had time to give that extra individual care even another book to read by the author of the one I was reading.  A big fat massive thanks to you all.

Dear Hutchings

Thank you for taking the time to give this lovely feedback. Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to you. I am so pleased to hear that you had such a positive experience following your recent hip replacement and that despite Ward 9 being so busy the staff were still able to give you individual care. I will share your lovely feedback with the staff in 8 and 9 and also with other members of the multidisciplinary team. I hope you are continuing to make a good recovery from your hip replacement.

Kind regards
