"Fantastic care"

I just wanted to say how impressed I have been after being diagnosed with bowel cancer that had also spread to the liver last February. From being called in after doing a routine screen I had surgery - keyhole, excellent surgeon and therefore my recovery was speedy, then I had 8 rounds of chemotherapy - again, started the treatment a couple of months after the surgery and was well looked after. Liver surgery was then arranged with Hammersmith and happened January this year. All good, 3 month check shows all clear. Throughout the Macmillan team have been there when I had questions and although it’s not been the best year of my life the trust has been fantastic and I’m out the other side, fit and healthy and about to embark on a horse riding holiday in Spain. Everything you see in the news is negative but I can’t fault the care I have had and how quickly everything has happened. I just wanted to share my positive experience and thank all the staff for their professionalism and support.
