"The gratitude for my midwife"

I was induced with my second son at the beginning of June 2021. When the time came for me to go down to the delivery suite at the princess royal maternity I was introduced to the midwife that would be looking after us, Rachel. Instantly we got on so well! Being induced with my first born son I chatted with Rachel about my anxieties and fears from my previous experience. Throughout the whole experience Rachel was by my side. She made me and my husband feel relaxed and In control of our sons birth. 

After delivery of my son I developed complications and required the additional team again Rachel was there throughout I genuinely felt she understood how scared I was and reassured me throughout. Her care, compassion, encouragement, confidence and communication was second to none! I will forever hold so much gratitude for midwives like Rachel.
