"End of Life care received by my Dad"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Critical Care

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to A+E at QEUH, he underwent emergency surgery that evening and was later admitted to CCU2. My dad was treated with the utmost care and compassion during his stay in CCU. It was clear that everything possible was done to treat my dad right up until his final days. Although it was so unexpected, we have taken comfort as a family from his end of life experience and would like to whole heartedly thank all the staff involved in his care, you are all a credit to your department. We too as a family felt supported throughout my dad's time in CCU2 and for that we are so grateful. We'll never be able to sufficiently express our gratitude to you for the dignity with which you treated my dad in his last few days.

Dear LSFB

Thank you so much for getting in touch. My sincere condolences on the loss of your Dad and my thoughts are with you and your family. It means a lot to staff when families take the time to share their feedback, even more so when they have lost a loved one. I hope the care and support you all received from the staff has made this difficult time a little bit easier.

Thank you and take care

Nicole
