"So grateful for their care"

About: Royal South Hants Hospital / Older people's healthcare Urgent Community Response Mid Hants

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

Yesterday the Urgent Community Response Team visited my mother.  She had had a fall at home.  Amber and James visited as an emergency response.  I am so grateful for their care.  Mum had been having falls and dizzy spells prior to their visit.  On the day they came she had fallen again at home.

Amber quickly referred mum to the hospital to have a CT brain scan as Amber was worried she may have hurt her head.

I am so grateful. The CT scan was negative but the hospital subsequently found a problem with her heart and have kept mum in hospital.

I am thankful for the thorough check over Amber and James gave mum, the quick response to getting her needs met and that they subsequently enabled a diagnosis to her symptoms through the hospital

Thank you on behalf of us all

I am the consultant for the Mid Hampshire Urgent Community Response service. Looking after individuals at home instead of hospital when it is safe to do so.

I was able to post this story on behalf of a family member. She was happy for me to share the feedback.

We are thankful as a team that we could meet their health urgent needs and escalate in a timely way to benefit their care and outcomes. I will ensure that the team members involved are informed of the feedback on behalf of the family member. The carers of the patient felt reassured and relieved that their mums symptoms had a cause.
