"Having a procedure at Radiology"

About: Belfast City Hospital / Radiology

(as a service user),

Arrived for a sensitive procedure today. Booked for next week but I was contacted  and offered a cancellation which was gratefully accepted. Referral from GP to Consultant clinic to scan (approximately 5-6 weeks) - incredible!

Pre-scan literature and information sent well in advance and was easy to follow. 

Arrived before my time and taken immediately. A fantastic well oiled and slick team from start to finish - Paul, Kevin, Lynne & Lynn. Everyone was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, kind, compassionate, funny and above all reassuring. 

I know from chatting to them how busy each day is but despite this, I felt that I was the only person in their care. It was a perfect example of professional and patient centred care. If the team were under pressure with their busy list, they certainly never showed it.

I was apologising to him for my bad veins.

I am a female service user.
