"Friendly service Endoscopy unit"

About: Warwick Hospital

I was put at ease as soon as I arrived at the centre. The nurse in the room introduced herself and spoke to me through the procedure. The procedure itself was extremely painful. I had sedation and was also given gas and air. My colon is very looped and the Doctor could not access my hepatic flexure dispute pushing my stomach and several attempts. I have a high pain threshold and have gone through several procedures but this experience, although did not last as long was as painful if not more than childbirth. I don’t know if more pain relief could be offered especially as was actually shouting out in pain. I was keen to get the procedure finished. Retrospectively I should have asked the doctor to stop and asked for more pain relief. I am not complaining but feel maybe it’s something that could be considered in the future.
