After a brilliant review I left a ref ward 9 I was given the all clear to be discharged at 7.45am yet it's now midday and I am being told I might have to wait until 2pm after a faultless care team pharmacy let them down. Very poor and due to their poor performance a much needed bed was taken up by myself for 6 hours longer than it needed to be

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry to learn of the delay that you experienced.

I will pick this up with the team on Ward 9 as it is clearly pleasing that you received good care albeit it may have been more feasible for you to have been sent to the discharge lounge pending your medication.

When patients are advised they can go home it is usual practice to advise if there will be any immediate delay particularly if medication or any other arrangements need to be made.

I am however sorry for the frustration you felt.
