"Having two teeth extracted today"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

(as the patient),

I was extremely nervous.

A lovely lady, Sammy, explained that they were running a little late, which is completely understandable, given how lovely, kind and caring the whole team were.

Another patient overheard, who was meant to be before me, and he offered for me to go before me. This was so kind. The dental team accommodated for this and let me go in front of him. So I was seen very quickly.

There was Sammy, another really lovely female (can’t remember her name sorry) and Mark (I think) the one who did all the injections and took the teeth out. They all made me feel as much as at ease as absolute possible.

Sammy gave me a ball to squeeze. Mark put on some music. And they were all checking in on me the whole time.

I couldn’t have asked for a better 3 people looking after me today.

Thank you so much to you all, you made my experience much less scary for if there is a next time.

There is literally nothing else you could have done to make my experience any better.

Dear Inspireyz47,

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback.

I'm glad we communicated well that our clinic was running a bit late and it was very kind of the other patient to swap with you so you didn't have to wait much longer.

I'm pleased the team made you feel as much as at ease as possible as we understand how daunting an appointment can be with us. It is great to hear some of the techniques we have to help put patients at ease helped you.

I will pass your kind feedback on to Frankee the other dental nurse assisting that day and Mark the Oral Surgeon.

Thank you again for taking the time to give feedback and I hope your recovery goes well after your teeth extractions.
