I was suddenly admitted to QEUH after being referred by GP. From the minute I arrived for assessment to the minute I was discharged, 2 days later, the care and professionalism I was met with exceeded every expectation. The nurse who took my initial blood test had only learnt this skill earlier that day and was extremely proficient, charming and confident in her role, explaining everything that was happening. A very painless experience. Her mentor nurse was very encouraging and offered advice where needed in a very supportive manner. The porters who transported me about the hospital during my stay were very cheery and upbeat. The staff at the MRI department were very helpful and informative ensuring I was aware of the procedure and again, were very professional and upbeat . The ward staff in wards 9B and 9D were very cheery, helpful and professional. Nothing was too much bother for them and their manner made my stay in hospital a more relaxed affair. At this time, after everything the NHS has been through, your staff were a credit to the organisation and deserve recognition of this. I am sorry I cannot remember the names of the individual staff who dealt with me, but suffice to say, they made what could have been a horrible experience, if not enjoyable, comfortable. For that I am most grateful. Many thanks.
