About: Southern Health & Social Care Trust / COVID vaccination programme

(as a parent/guardian),

We had a wonderful experience when getting my 7 year olds first covid vaccine.

We attended the clinic in the Quays in Newry.

There was a separate que for the under 11s which was great.

We only waited about 10 minutes before being seen in a screened off area.

Fiona and Mary helped my daughter feel completely at ease, they spoke to her directly and made her feel very grown up and responsible. The little bag of sweets helped as well.

I can only praise all those who were working today - a well organised and comfortable experience.

Dear aquilakf74 - thank you so much for this feedback which I have shared with the vaccination team, comments like these are really encouraging for the staff. We do appreciate that getting this vaccination can be a time of anxiety for children and their parents, but its great to read that Fiona and Mary helped to put your daughter at ease.
