"Wonderful care at Glasgow dental hospital minor ops"

About: Glasgow Dental Hospital and School / Dental

(as a service user),

I had to get a lip biopsy and a gum biopsy. The staff were friendly and reassuring - they answered the many questions I had happily and overall made it as pleasant experience as it could be.

One minor factor which would have helped would be if they had dark glasses instead of the clear ones which meant I had to keep my eyes closed. For me, closed eyes meant I had to focus a bit more on the sensations of the procedure and made it a little more overwhelming than it needed to be.

Not a massive deal but just a wee pointer that something pretty minor can have a big effect on the overall experience.

Dear Stravaig,

Thank you very much for taking the time to post a comment about your experience while attending the Glasgow Dental Hospital recently. A visit to the dentist can be difficult at the best of times, and so I am pleased to note that you found the team to be friendly, reassuring and able to answer your questions.

As our service continues to recover from the impact of the pandemic, it is heartening to hear of your positive experience. I will be delighted to pass your kind comments and feedback on to the Oral Surgery team.

Best wishes

Raymond
