I was booked into BMI Southend for eye surgery under LA and told to arrive at 14.30. I was tpld the procedure would take between 60-90 minutes.

On my arrival there was another patient who had been there since 14.00. Another patient was in the theatre.

I was not taken to theatre until 18.00

There was little or no pre-op preparation except to answer a few questions.

This length of time waiting is unnecessary
