I have been a patient for many years and thus practice has gotten worse over the years. You sometimes can't get through at all or are on the phone for up to an hour. I have also been prescribed medication I am allergic to.

Hi, Thank you for your feedback of which we are grateful.

I was made aware of telephone issues when I recently joined the practice. We have since put in a number of measures to reduce the issues however this does take time for new systems to show progress.

On investigation due to COVID most patients called the practice in order to keep us all safe this has greatly increased the level of calls to the practice. I have found that some of the calls could be directed elsewhere and we now also have other healthcare professionals working alongside us at the practice to improve access to patients. We have employed an additional receptionists, updated our phone system to a cloud based system which also has the facility to check the call levels and review them as a team during our meetings. I have also been discussing this with the reception manager on a weekly basis.
