About: Royal Hospital for Children (Glasgow) / Day surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

We visited yesterday for day surgery for my little boy Ward 1A/1B. From start to finish the care was fantastic. The nursing staff were so friendly and informative and really put me at ease. Every member of staff from the domestic staff, student nurses, nurses, doctors, anaesthetists and theatre staff were professional and helpful and my little boy smiled the whole way through.

As a parent coming with their child it can be daunting but our experience yesterday really made everything a positive experience and he is now home recovering well.

As Acting Lead Nurse for this area I am extremely pleased to hear that your experience in this unit was positive. The staff in this area always aim to achieve high standards and the best outcomes to all our patients.

Your post is most appreciated and I have passed this onto the Senior Charge Nurse for this area. I fully appreciate that it is a daunting experience for parents and patients but a positive experience is a fantastic outcome for your child.
