About: East Lothian Community Hospital / Hospital At Home Team General practices in Lothian

(as a relative),

My husband took ill and the Doctor wanted him to go into hospital. As he has had several hospital stays in the past he really didn't want to go in again. The doctor then suggested East Lothian Hospital At Home.

The team started their visits and within two weeks of very specialised care,  my husband is feeling and looking so much better. He's had all the care he would have had in hospital plus so much more from this lovely caring team. Not just medical care (which was exceptional), but taking time to explain everything.

They organised scans, xray, also on one occasion meeting us at the xray department and doing his usual daily care in the hospital. Outstanding care! His medication was reviewed and changed which has been needed for so long. My husband is still waiting for results but I'm hoping all will be well. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou to a brilliant team 5⭐

It must have been such a worrying time for you when your husband took ill, and I am sure you would have been relieved when the doctor suggested that he could be cared for by the Hospital at Home Team. It was very heart-warming to read such kind words and I am delighted that you found the team to be caring and that they took the time to explain everything.

I am really pleased that your husband is feeling and looking much better, and I am sure the team are too. I will ensure that your lovely feedback is shared with the staff members involved as it is always reassuring for them to know that their efforts have been appreciated.
