"Visiting the minor injury unit"

About: New Stobhill Hospital / Minor Injuries Unit

(as the patient),

Visited the minor injury unit at Stobhill, was seen to quickly which was great. However, the staff on reception were extremely rude and treated me like I was very small. The unpleasant atmosphere within the unit caused me to have a panic attack when waiting in the waiting room. I have severe anxiety so coming into this unit was not an easy thing for me to do, the attitude of the staff didn’t help this. I understand people have a job to do but kindness costs NOTHING.

Dear ShelS22

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on Care Opinion. I am disappointed to read about your experience at the Minor Injuries Unit and I am so sorry that the unpleasant atmosphere exacerbated your anxiety and led to you having a panic attack.

I will share your feedback with the staff so that we can learn from your experience and avoid this happening to other patients.

I hope you are feeling better now.

Kind Regards

Nicole
