"Amazing work by the staff"

After spending 7 long days and nights in hospital with my young daughter we are glad to be home. 

We were admitted in the early hours of the morning and only out today but I just wanted to highlight the amazing work of the staff in ward 1B. 

The care and support from the doctors and nurses just needs to be highlighted as often we only hear negative stories. 

My daughter was cared for by the most lovely staff, so kind, compassionate and had so much time to speak to her and me. The ward itself is immaculate, the cleaners were always so friendly and chatted away. The nurses there are no words. They do not get enough credit for what they do, not only caring but explaining, keeping us calm and delivering an amazing service. When we were in there was a massive power cut across the hospital and although it was frantic they never let it faze them and worked away with torches whilst reassuring patients. 

The play therapists were amazing, trying to keep a young child occupied in her own room is no easy task! 

A special thanks to Donna the nurse and Jennifer who were above and beyond kind. We are beyond grateful!
