Can you please explain how the clinical triage system works. Also is this system adopted by all GP practices in the UK?

Dear Anonymous, thank you for your enquiry. All surgeries are working to a standard operating procedure to help with prioritising the workload that has increased exponentially since the covid-19 outbreak and this has continued since demand for services has not abated at all. All triage cases are recorded by our call handlers which are them assessed by the clinical team in order of clinical priority. Our aim to to respond to each request on the same day. I hope this information is useful to you, there is a lot of information and guidance on a huge number of clinical conditions on the surgery website and on www.nhs.net

Many thanks.
