"Staff were friendly and welcoming"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Endoscopy

(as a service user),

Attended for colonoscopy at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline. Staff were friendly and welcoming and I was put at ease immediately. Procedure was slightly uncomfortable but was eased throughout by attendant nurses and took about 20mins.In recovery nurse was attentive and offered a cup of tea/coffee and some toast as had fasted since day before.  This was extremely welcoming.

Cannot think of anything that could have been done better. was extremely happy with care throughout entire procedure.

Dear Bonnie Scot

Many thanks for your kind words regarding your recent visit to the Regional Endoscopy Unit at Queen Margaret Hospital.

I am glad you were made to feel at ease so early on in your visit and that our staff were friendly and welcoming. The test can be uncomfortable for some patients which we recognize and I was pleased to read the staff in the procedure room helped you with this.

The tea and toast is always the best bit of your visit.

I will pass on your lovely comments to the nursing staff.

Many thanks

Charge Nurse
