"Thank you so much"

About: WestMARC (Forth Valley) / Adult Wheelchair Clinic

(as a service user),

Today I had my EE clinic assessment. The clinician I was working with today was absolutely brilliant and taught me some really valuable skills. He decided that I didn’t need to do the skills course thing and decided I was confident enough. I tried a few different wheelchairs and he taught me how to mount a curb independently and dismount a curb safely either backwards or forwards. He was absolutely amazing and I’m so pleased with the skills I was taught. He was extremely knowledgable and supported me through the entire thing. I ordered my wheelchair and he talked me through what would be beneficial to me and answered all relevant questions about my comfort and made the chair perfectly suited to me. I was told it should be here in around 12 weeks (maybe even less)

I decided to go with the Quickie Argon and I got it in Flamingo Glitter which made me really happy as I had my heart set on a pink wheelchair. He talked me through the different specs and what it would mean and used the practice chair to help me pick the best measurements and such. I really enjoyed my day and actually had fun at the appointment and found myself more confident than ever. Thank you so much for today! I look forward to picking up my third and final wheelchair.

Good morning WeeJJx, I am delighted to once again hear about your positive experiences with our clinical staff. I do recall you sharing your helpful comments a few months ago when the assessment was completed. It is so encouraging to know that, throughout your journey, you have felt fully supported and know that our experienced staff are available to answer any questions.

As your post is anonymous, I am unable to identify which clinician was in attendance and therefore cannot share your thanks with them directly, however I would welcome the opportunity to speak to you directly to allow you to share this with me. If you contact me on 0300 790 0129.

Many thanks and regards

Angela
