"A&E and paramedic Staff at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance

(as a staff member posting for a carer/relative),

My Mum was taken to A&E by ambulance after becoming really unwell.  She is currently undergoing chemotherapy.  I would like to say that the treatment she received from both the ambulance staff and those in A&E was absolutely brilliant.  It's only my Mum and I and we have no other family so, the kindness that I received too during a very scary day felt very comforting and supportive.  In particular, Ben the Registrar (A&E Overflow) went above and beyond to help Mum and I understand what had happened and he really did not leave a stone unturned.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

Dear DownDog2112

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback here on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read that your mother had reason to use our services and that of the wider NHS. I do hope that she is feeling better now?

I am however really pleased to read about the care that you both received. Looking after family is so important and its great to read that this happened. I would happy, if you wish, to pass on your feedback to the crew that attended your mum to let them know what a good impression they made. If you would like for this to happen I would just require a few details, your mums name and the date, time and location that the vehicle attended. If you wish for this to happen then you can email sas.feedback@nhs.scot - making reference to your careopinion username, and we can pass this on.

All the best and thanks again

Alan

Dear DownDog2112,

Many thanks for taking the time to write in about your experience in the Emergency Department. I am sorry that your Mum had to come in to hospital and hope she is feeling better.

I will ensure your feedback is shared with the team and know how much this will mean to them.

Thanks

Julie
