"Charlene went above and beyond to help"

Recently I phoned the 0141 347 8406 number to seek advice about an appointment in March and how accessible the location of the MRI Unit at the Beatson Gartnavel was. My wee mummy is 86 and has severe mobility issues. She’s had a few MRI’s and always at the Jubilee. It’s a bit of a trek but previously manageable.

I explained all this Charlene who was very sympathetic and helpful. She put me on hold and phoned the Beatson to find out. She came back and said there was a drop off point and then wheelchairs as it was some distance. She also said she could cancel the appointment and request Jubilee however the same date couldn’t be guaranteed.

I decided to stick with original appointment as was worried that the appointment would be moved further away and thanked Charlene for all her help. About half an hour later Charlene phoned totally unexpectedly to say that she had phoned Jubilee and the appointments for that week would be released and she could get wee mummy an appointment, but couldn’t guarantee the date and time, someone from Jubilee would phone her.

Charlene is an excellent member of your staff. Of her own free will and kindness she went above and beyond to help us in our endeavour to make sure attending wee Mummy's MRI was as simple as possible. She has a delightful manner and nothing was problematic to her.
