I want very simply to say 'thank you'. I have lived most of my life with various levels of depression, anxiety and trauma. Over the past couple of years I have received and am receiving the most extraordinary care from the members of staff of the Sheila Gibson Unit at Stapleford.
On a number of occasions I've had to make contact with or I've been called by members of the administrative staff of the unit. I have been touched by their courtesy, helpfulness, understanding. I have realised that they make a vital contribution to the care offered by the unit. Thank you.
I have been visited regularly by Georgina, my CPN. I've never had such care before. Georgina has been so helpful and is so helpful. She listens to me, helps me to listen to myself and helps me to feel safe. She has supported me with such knowledge, skill, professionalism and deep humanity. I am grateful.
Over the years, I've had a number of psychiatrists. Dr Wiley has been and is a wonderful doctor. She listens to me, supports and sustains me. Her wisdom, professional knowledge and compassion have been and are quite amazing. Thank you so much.
