About: The River Surgery

I had to tell the Doctor I needed and endoscopy after 6 months of stomach pains as he did not know what direction to go even after I told him about stomach cancer in my family. Because he did not ask for it to be prioritised I am still waiting 2 months later without an appointment even though when I followed up at the surgery with Another Doctor she said I should not wait more than 2 weeks. When I followed up at the surgery the next Doctor made the same mistakes and referred me back to the first Doctor? The hospital said their hands were tied as your Doctors need to do their job properly. I will try anothe Doctor in the morning

Thank you for your feedback and we apologise for the experience that you had with the surgery. During our telephone call we made you an appointment to speak to a GP the following day.

Clinicians have to follow strict guidelines when referring, but we are pleased to hear that have now received an appointment.

Please do not hesitate to contact the Practice Managers in future if we can help in any way.
