After being poorly with a severe colitis flare up, I was admitted to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy over last weekend.
From Admission at AU2 to transfer to Ward 52, I was treated with kindness and care by all staff.
I especially would like to thank the wonderful staff on Ward 52 for their particularly dedicated work. I was terrified at the thought of having to be in hospital, especially during this pandemic, but hospital treatment was essential for me. I felt totally safe and extremely well looked after during my stay. After just a couple of days, I am feeling so much better and was discharged from their care last night.
Our NHS and the dedicated staff, from specialist to portering, are such a precious resource. I am so very thankful for the wonderful care I received, especially after the two years of strain that these dedicated souls must have experienced in the pandemic! Power to their elbow and I advocate TRIPLING their salaries!
I kept repeating the words "Worth their weight in gold"... I'll leave this message with my gratitude and best wishes to everyone. Thank you!
"I felt safe and cared for"
