"Depression and suicidal thoughts"

About: Ealing IAPT

(as a friend),

Worst experience ever .

My gf has a  serious life threatening  situation.  As a human being it is hard already for her to deal with her own emotions.  We found Ealing IAPT to be useless - they made her wait from September in a queue for all this time. After multiple times of contacting them ,they transferred her to Single Point Of Access ,who did the same thing - nothing !

She called them again to receive a silly answer that since she has now moved to another flat , she will be transferred to a different IAPT  team.  Why didn't we get that information earlier?  No doubt we will now have another half year to wait .

How can we get appointment?  Can you tell us?

The phone lines always make you wait more than 2 hours ,even the call back lines .   Now my gf is pregnant and this problem involves 2 lives.  I hope this never happens with your loved ones! I find it disgusting !

It's your responsibility to do your work , like we do ours ! If you can sleep at night calmly, while people are in need and suffer because of your non actions , then probably you should go and work elsewhere, and not be giving people hopes for receiving help .

We are really sorry to hear of your girlfriend’s experience with the service and want to look into this for her. Due to confidentiality, please can you ask her to contact us on ealing.iapt@nhs.uk or call 0203 313 5060 for the attention of Mandy Hewey. We are not a crisis service but if she needs support then please ask her to contact the local CMHT within her area, call 999 or make an emergency GP appointment.

Best wishes

Clare
