Today I Had a long awaited ENT consult with a Dr who didn't even tell me his name. I have a growth inside my nasal cavity that is causing constant pressure, drips on my chest and I'm constantly getting infections and choking nightly in my sleep. His bedside manner was frankly appalling and made me feel like my situation was not important and basically told me he was not willing to do anything, and, if I'm not happy to get a second opinion. The worst part of it all was when he answered a question concerning my condition and I gave him a solution, he got shirty and basically ended the consultation. He made assumptions and blamed my symptoms on stress. I am absolutely disgusted by his attitude. He obviously didn't want to be in work on a Saturday at midday. I now have to go back to my GP to be re-referred elsewhere for a second opinion because he was pushy and arrogant leaving me to continue to suffer for probably another 6 months to a year. This is not the first time I have been let down by this hospital. I've had appointments cancelled because someone was on holiday (don't book them in the first place if someone's not actually going to be there) I've had other departments leave me without solution or treatment which I've then had to fork out thousands for treatments privately. An absolutely despicable hospital.
