"Not The Best Kept"

In comparison to Newton Lodge, Wakefield at which I had been an inpatient prior to Newsam, Newsam (and Seacroft) in general leaves much to be desired in terms of cleanliness, etc. Compare the gardens of Seacroft and Fieldhead (Newton Lodge) hospitals and you get an idea of the difference.

But what Newsam lacks in cleanliness it makes up for with an incredible team of NHS staff.

Thank you for taking time to leave your comments. It’s great that you have identified that the staff at the Newsam Centre are an incredible team. However, we have noted your concerns particularly about the cleanliness of the environment and the gardens. The grounds maintenance team visit weekly out of the growing season (October to March) and generally litter pick and clear leaves etc. We take great pride in our cleaning standards and would like you to contact us with details of the ward/internal environment you are referring to so that we can investigate further.
