"Hearing Aid Clinic"

I attended the Hearing Aid Clinic in Lagan Valley Hospital for the first time this week on Monday, I was really keen to see if there would be any adaptions that you be made to help my hearing. I was seen on arrival by a very efficient, friendly and inspiring audiologists - Annika. A thorough assessment of my hearing was completed and we discussed the need for hearing aids, to my surprise these were able to be fitted and adjusted that day. The fitting was comprehensive with no rush, I was given education on how to adjust and care for my hearing aids and I really felt that my needs were considered and integrated into the plan for my care. I was given follow up contact details and I cannot begin to describe the difference these hearing aids have made to my life in 2 short days, it is truly life changing and has reduced the isolation I sometimes can feel when I cannot make out what people say.
