"Transfer to Emergency Department went smoothly"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust / Emergency ambulance

(as a service user),

I was brought into the hospital via ambulance as I was suffering symptoms mirroring a possible heart attack. I was met swiftly by the first responder, to the ambulance crew and my transfer into ED went very smoothly. The staff were working under extreme pressure, but remained calm and caring during my assessment. Everything was checked thoroughly and I was relieved to be discharged 4 hours after my arrival. Thanks to all for their kind and compassionate care despite all the challenges they were facing.
