"Exceptional help and generosity of staff"

About: Cardiology / Cardiology Assessment Hub

(as a service user),

I was referred to The Cardiac Hub in Altnagelvin by my GP. I was fortunate to get an appointment the next day of calling 

I arrived at the hub 10 minutes before my appointment time. 

During this time the help and generosity offered by all staff was exceptional. In particular a girl called Pam but the lady I was seen by most was Michelle. Michelle, well you could not get a nicer person. 

She was calming, reassuring and done everything possible she could to help to rule out certain possibilities.

That day, there was work being done in the hospital shoots which meant my bloods got lost temporarily. This resulted in me staying around 4.5 hours instead of 2.5

Michelle could not have been more attentive during this time making sure I was comfortable.

Firstly apologies on delay of my response I had read your very kind words and unfortunately was called away before I could respond.

On behalf of Pam and myself thankyou so much for taking the time to write about your very positive experience in the cardiology hub. I am so glad you felt I was calming and reassuring especially at what I imagine is a very stressful time for you.

The transport system used to send bloods to the lab undergoes maintenance from time to time and bloods samples in transit can as you say be lost temporarily. Fortunately this does not happen very often and I am sorry that such a situation occurred for yourself. However I am glad that you felt that I was attentive and you felt comfortable.
