"Holistic care "

I just wanted to thank the obs and gynae team for their care and attention during my pregnancy and labour.

Following a miscariage I had a bleed in my following pregnancy. The staff were sensitive and validated my anxiety and concerns.

During my scans the staff were professional but personal and seemed to make the experience special.

During labour the staff were supportive on the phone. I was quickly seen and in my labour I felt I was listened to and safe. The birth was holistic and I got the water birth we had hoped for. Shortly after birth my baby needed extra support and the staff were calm and prompt in resolving the issue. As soon as he was stable skin to skin was encouraged and we successfully breast fed within 30 minutes.

The staff on the ward could not have been kinder. From the midwives, to Dr's, to cleaners and the non clinical staff. Lots of breast feeding support and nothing was too much trouble. I was exhausted and the ward staff kindly watched my baby so I could get a nap. Everything was explained clearly and communication was great.

I can't thank the staff enough.
