"Uninformed staff about patients right. "

About: Stepping Hill Hospital

I was about to have an ultrasound but they didn't let my partner in inside because he was not wearing a mask even he was exempted from wearing it. They were accusing my partner as an abusive even he just defending his right. There was no verbal abuse happened on that day. We recorded all the conversation and review it all. My partner was just reacting like normal reaction of what the staff told him. Of course he want to see the baby in my tummy through scan but he didn't get any changed. We were so surprised of the behaviour of the staff. They should have a training what is the right of the patients not just there person right. So unfair.

I was sorry to read about your experience when you attended Stockport Hospital regarding your scan.

It is standard practice for staff to ask why someone may have an exemption from wearing a mask so it would be beneficial for this to be clearly documented in your notes so other staff members were aware at future appointments.

As an organisation we use all patient feedback to support learning and for continuous improvement. Though the experience you describe was not positive, I would like to thank you for sharing this.

Regards
