In late November 2021 I took a heart attack at home. My son rang for an ambulance & within 15 minutes they arrived at my home.
The heart attack then led to a cardiac arrest & if not for the ambulance crew I would have died as my heart stopped. I was rushed to the RVH where there was a team of medical staff waiting.
I received 2 stents & an artery stretched to prevent further heart failure. I was then transferred to Lagan Valley Hospital in Lisburn where for around a week I received the best care I've ever had. With their care I was able to return home 6 days later.
I have outpatient visits on a regular basis where I have the support & have to say the best care from both Andrea & Luna.
Without the professional care from the NHS I wouldn't be here today to tell my story. Thank you to all involved for saving my life.
