"Prompt and positive experience"

Yesterday I had an appointment at the ECU in Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton.

I had been suffering for weeks from Diverticulitis and on 2 courses of antibiotics.   I also have Addisons Disease which compounds any infection.

My gp refered me on Friday to Musgrove and they sent an appointment the same day for the following Monday.

The appointment was at 9:00 am and I arrived ten mins late due to traffic.  By  10:00 am  I had had been examined, had blood work taken and drank water ready for CT scan. Everyone at every point were really lovely and friendly.  It was really noticeable.  By 12:15 I had results, and was talking to the consultant who very thoroughly checked my medical history online file and asked questions. I was even told they were contacting another consultant to follow up on something. When I was leaving  I was given leaflets on my disease and a direct telephone number for the unit .

I could not fault any of the team. I have in the past had a number of bad experiences so it was great to be able to say about my positive experience.  Thank you Musgrove!
