"Seeing my dad on virtual visiting"

About: Belfast Health & Social Care Trust / Virtual Visiting Service

(as a service user),

It was so good to be able to see and hear dad. He now has Covid following an operation to remove cancer so there is no chance to visit.

Maggie the nurse who was with him, was wonderful with both dad and us. This service is fantastic and everyone involved was really helpful. We'll be having another video call as soon as is suitable.

My name is Máire and I'm part of the Patient and Client Experience Team that look after the Virtual Visiting Service.

Thank you for letting us know how useful it was for you and your family to be able to access a virtual visit with your dad.

It can be very hard to be separated from our family when they are unwell, and I hope that being able to see and speak to your dad has helped with that. I will pass your kind words to Maggie and the team and I know they will be really glad to hear that the appreciation you expressed.

I hope you dad recovers quickly from the surgery and that you are able to be together very soon.
