"Can’t get requested blood test"

About: South Street Surgery

It took me a good half an hour on line to find out how to book the test requested by the GP. The earliest available slot was one week later, today. Apparently the booking didn’t go through and they sent me away. Not at all helpful. I have no idea what to do now. It feels like deliberate obfuscation. There is NO guidance on the surgery website. Any ideas??

In the meantime, I may be ill, I may not be, no one knows. Meantime I’ve been holding on for 30 + mins to ask reception.

Hello, thank you for your useful feedback. We have now added information to our website on how to book blood tests at the local hospital. We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and are continually looking at ways to improve our contact with patients.
