It’s a very scary thing to visit the women’s health department at your local hospital when you know you’ve got to have a physical examination to get to the bottom of your concern.
I am a woman in my late 50s and have given birth to 3 wonderful children. It was talking about them during my examination today that got me through. Well honestly it was more to do with the fact I get the fits of giggles whenever I am at the dentist or the gynaecologist.
The staff were wonderful and they put me at ease and they said if there was a way of giving feedback on a patient, I would get a wonderful review.
Here is a shout out to a wonderful nursing team: Stephanie, Rachel and Val. You were all professional, kind and made the awkward experience a pleasant one.
