After receiving a copy of the City General Hospital's letter to my GP following tests, I phoned the surgery to ask if I could liaise with the doctor to ask for clarification of how to proceed with a further recommended test, only to be advised that I'd be better to proceed via "Engage Consult". Only one major problem here is that in order to do so as directed I need to supply a mobile phone number. At my age I no longer have enough relatives or friends left alive to warrant the expense of a mobile phone and can only supply my landline, therefore I can't use "Engage Consult". In my opinion this is an utter failure to recognise that not all people need or want to have a mobile phone or be on social media every minute of the day! What's so wrong about a landline in order to use "Engage Consult"? Please get your act together!
