"Visit to endoscopy unit at victoria hospital kirkcaldy"

About: Victoria Hospital / Colorectal Unit

(as the patient),

In January, I was called to attend the department to receive a colonoscopy as a result of a positive test as part of the bowel screening programme, come the day come the hour and feeling apprenensive of what to expect, right from the moment I arrived at victoria hospital I was treated brilliantly spoken to in a very friendly and reassuring manner by all the wonderful staff I met on my visit. The procedure was explained to me very clearly and helped me through it which I was able to take without the need for sedation. Thanks again to the wonderful staff.

Dear earlyriser4am

Thank you for telling us about your recent experience. Coming to hospital for a procedure can be daunting so it was lovely to read that our staff were able to put you at ease and keep you well informed throughout your stay with us. I will be sure to pass on your post to all the staff in our endoscopy unit.

I hope that you have recovered well.

Kind regards

Gill
