"Lack of care and treatment"

May 2021 referred to rheumatologist as urgent, experiencing lots of pain and problems. Have for the last 10 months been taking GP prescribed pain relief. Symptoms have got worse, continued to contact new appointments, PALS but continually told I am having to wait for appointment to be sent through but this has been going on for 8 months now. Nobody seems to care anymore, all I get is rheumatologist are running behind and have a backlog of patients. 

It's not just the fact I was referred in the May 2021, my symptoms started at least 6 months before referral from my GP. All I have are Pain killers from GP, I need a proper diagnosis and proper treatment but without having this appointment not only am I not diagnosed but I have no treatment and symptoms have considerably got worse. 

Every time I phone I get told there's nothing to be done but just wait for appointment. This is absolutely shocking. 

Why are people getting neglected by the trust. I know these clinics have been running throughout the COVID but I feel like people are being ignored & it is not acceptable.

I am also worried that I've been referred as urgent but without proper diagnosis is this the right speciality, if this is not then I again would have to be wait and be seen by another speciality. 

I do hope that nothing is serious, as this lengthy weight could mean it's too late to start any treatment or benefit from any treatment. I feel absolutely neglected and ignored.
