"My son's care and stay in hospital"

My 3 year old son was having trouble breathing and was wheezing. We took him to A&E and he was seen by triage very quickly and taken straight from there to an A&E bay. The staff in A&E were extremely caring and attentive. He was treated for his symptoms and they also explored the cause (he had several tests and an extensive history taken). After a night in A&E and only a slight improvement he was admitted to the children's ward. Again, the staff here were excellent and provided him with amazing care. He was checked on regularly and staff were good at communicating next steps for his treatment. Staff took excellent care of both of us. Before we left the play worker (Lisa) gave my son a Christmas present and an advent calendar. Completely unexpected and amazingly kind. I would like to say thank you to all of the staff, nurses and doctors who took care of him during his short time in hospital. Special thanks to nurse Claire on Dolphin Ward.
