"Excellent care by an exceptional nurse"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I was emergency admitted to Ward 208 with acute abdominal pain on Friday night. The whole process and quality of care was outstanding from admission to discharge, but one individual stood out for me: Nurse Grant. Skilled, empathetic, never hurried, careful to anticipate and choose the right register to explain and reassure, prepared to deal with my wife’s concerns. She and her colleagues across shifts and the ward deserve praise and recognition.

Dear columbann75

Thank you so much for taking the time to give us this fantastic feedback. It's very humbling and reassuring to read how you describe the quality of care as "outstanding". I have passed your comments on to the ward staff, I know that this will mean so much to them - they are all amazing and work so hard.

We hope that you are recovering and send you our very best wishes.

Take care

Linda Carmichael
