"Visit to the Endoscopy unit"

I attended the above unit for a Gastroscopy.

I was very nervous as I had previously had one elsewhere in the past and it had been a rather traumatic experience. This memory was making me anxious.

From the moment I met the team I felt in safe hands.

The nursing staff were all lovely, and listened to my concerns and addressed them with appropriate reassurance.

Sister Drummond, the endoscopist, made me feel comfortable as soon as I met her.

Throughout my procedure the staff were an excellent support. I had suggested how they could help keep me focused.

They did this exactly as I said and needed, and were there holding my hand and supporting me throughout.

I would like to thank the whole team for their care, dedication and professionalism they demonstrated throughout my stay in the unit.
