"Going into hospital for a preplanned procedure"

About: The Royal London Hospital / Paediatric surgery

(as a parent/guardian),

Took my son today to the Royal London in Whitechapel for a planned outpatient procedure. Was told nil by mouth from 7pm the night before, and must be at the hospital at 7:40am the following morning.

After waiting 8 hours, no one could say when he would be going down to theatre.

What a joke with this hospital, this is the second time this has happened at this hospital.

In the end left the hospital that afternoon without procedure getting done, and still no answer as to where he was on the theatre list or if he was even on it to begin with!! Extremely disappointed.

Need to work on their communication and organisational skills.
