I was feeling suicidal. Had made comments of ending my life to friends and family. As I did not know where to turn too. I was located by officers. Who offered the triage service. I was hesitant as never engaged with mental health services previously. But I bit the bullet and agreed to speak to them. I then met an officer named Amanda and a nurse named Nigel. They both listened to my problems and was able to get a lot of things of my chest. Covid has had a big impact on my life and at home. But Nigel was able to signpost me and give me all the advice I needed. Amanda also reassured by repeating the plan. They were able to write a letter to my Gp which helped to get me an appointment which I usually struggle with and now engaging with talking therapies. Thank you Triage team.
